We all are acquainted with women who have been raped, though many choose not to talk about it. Furthermore, we women know that we expend a significant amount of our valuable energy -- energy that could be used for other things -- on taking precautions so we won't be raped. What an impact this has on our lives! It doesn't take statistics to prove that sexual assault is still a problem in our society.
