Upgrading Wusage

Upgrading from Earlier Versions

Pricing Information

All previously registered customers who purchased their keys on or after September 1st, 2001 can upgrade to Wusage 8.0 free of charge. Simply download and install the latest version for your operating system. Then unlock the software with the key you already have. The software may be able to determine that you have unlocked it previously, in which case you do not need to take any special steps. If you have forgotten your key, just contact us. Be sure to provide plenty of information to help us find your earlier order!

Users who purchased Wusage prior to September 1st, 2001 will find that their existing keys do not unlock Wusage 8.0. However, you are entitled to upgrade for 1/3 of the regular price. Take advantage of our new Wusage upgrade online store!

Also, you may take advantage of our offline order form, which is required when paying by check or purchase order. Global license holders should call, fax or mail their upgrade orders. All other licenses can now be upgraded online.

Tips for Returning Users

Wusage 8.0 still offers the same command line options available in previous releases. Although this is not heavily emphasized by the documentation, we have maintained full support for command line operation for the convenience of upgrading users. You can use Wusage 8.0 as a drop-in replacement, with your existing configuration file. We recommend that you make a backup of your report directory first. Windows users who previously took advantage of command line options can continue to do so, using the wusages.exe executable provided in the Wusage80 directory. Returning users who do find the graphical interface of the product useful will be most comfortable with "advanced mode," which offers the same "power-user" features that experienced Wusage 6.0 and 7.0 users are used to seeing.
