#The first match wins. If the user agent contains something like
#(compatible; REAL BROWSER NAME HERE) then the real browser name
#is automatically extracted -- you do not need to worry about this.
#
#VERY IMPORTANT: write spaces in patterns as a '?' to avoid ending
#the pattern prematurely!

end useragentgroups
The useragentgroups option, which extends for several lines and must end with the line end useragentgroups, is used to indicate that all user agents matching a particular pattern should be reported as the same browser name in the user agents report. Each line of the useragentgroups option contains a pattern and a title for that pattern.

The three patterns shown above match all references to each of several different popular web browsers. Each character of each user agent name is matched against each pattern in the useragentgroups list. An * in a pattern matches any number of characters in a document name. A ? in a pattern matches any one character. Patterns have additional features; for more information, see the patterns section.
