"Why does it have a strange interface?"

In order to make the program portable and easy to administer remotely we have chosen to design a web-browser-based interface and use it consistently across all platforms. This consistency ensures that the Macintosh version will stay up to date with the other releases, because it is much easier to maintain than the old Macintosh release.

Beta 5 and earlier: "Double-clicking on a configuration file should open it and analyze my log files, etc."

The final release handles this situation much better! Please note that your existing configuration files from older betas won't launch Wusage when double-clicked until you open and save them again with the configuration editor.

We could make the program automatically analyze your log files when launched this way, and we will give that serious consideration. Some users probably will not want that to be the default behavior, however. Please note that you can use the scheduler to run your reports automatically.

Beta 2 and earlier: "The quit option on the File menu doesn't quit! And the About option talks about something called SIOUX."

These issues were taken care of in beta 3. Downloading the final release is recommended. You can quit earlier betas through the web interface, on the main menu page.

"How can I schedule the program to run at certain times?"

The final release has a built-in scheduler! Upgrade to the final release today!

"Why doesn't Wusage analyze my WebStar format logs well?"

The final release of Wusage 6.0 for the Power Macintosh handles WebStar logs better than the early betas. Try the final release if you have had problems with betas prior to beta 6.

For best results, please send them as attachments instead of pasting them into your email. This preserves the exact structure of the data and helps us to improve compatibility with your web server.
