Wusage 8.0 Manual
hide Option
1. Edit Configuration
2. Configure Filters...
3. Hidden Documents...
If you prefer to manually edit your configuration files, use the following syntax for this option:
Example
hide *.gif #Patterns matching jpeg files *.jpg *.jpeg end hideDescription
The Hidden Documents (hide) option is useful to keep certain documents from appearing by name in reports. The Hidden Documents (hide) option does not prevent documents from being counted toward total accesses, hourly throughput or any other report. To completely ignore a set of documents, use the Ignored Documents (ignore) option instead.
Documents that
match any of the patterns listed
for the Hidden Documents (hide) option will be
hidden from the Chart Top Documents (documents) report, the Chart Top Trails (trails) report,
and so forth. Each character
of the document name is matched against the pattern.
An * in the pattern matches any
number of characters in the document name.
Patterns have additional features, including support for regular expressions; for more information about
patterns, see the Patterns and Regular Expressions
section.
Note that the Remove These Suffixes (suffixes) option is applied first. If the Hidden Documents (hide) option does not appear, all documents permitted by the Allowed Documents (allow) option and not filtered by the Ignored Documents (ignore) option are candidates to appear in the popular documents report.
