Wusage 8.0 Manual: entrieswithoutservername

Wusage 8.0 Manual

entrieswithoutservername Option

To reach this option in the configuration file editor, follow these steps:

1. Edit Configuration
2. Accept Entries Without Server Name

If you prefer to manually edit your configuration files, use the following syntax for this option:

Example
entrieswithoutservername on
entrieswithoutservername off
Description

If set to on, the Accept Entries Without Server Name (IPs->Names) (entrieswithoutservername) option indicates that wusage should consider log file lines that do not explicitly mention a particular virtual server to be included in all counts. If set to off, Wusage rejects such lines as irrelevant.

Those who use advanced mode and a collection of separate configuration files to analyze a single, shared log file with virtual server name fields should set this option to on for the default site, and to off for all others. This option is not necessary in ISP mode.

Due to the fact that many log files for single sites contain no virtual server name information, this option defaults to on if it is not set.
