The CGI Parameters and Values (cgi) report provides a guide to the CGI scripts (or other interactive pages such as Active Server Pages) used on your server, including a breakdown of the parameters passed to these scripts and the values passed for each parameter.
Because Wusage is a log file analyzer, CGI parameters and values are only available if they appear in the log. This means that only scripts that use the GET method appear in this report.
For each distinct CGI program or other interactive page, Wusage will report the URL of the page followed by a list of parameters. For each parameter, Wusage then lists the values that were passed for that parameter. For example, the following URL:
/search.cgi?target=trees&conjunction=and
Would be reported as the CGI script /search.cgi,
with the parameters target and conjunction,
for which the values trees and and were
passed, respectively.
The CGI Parameters and Values report gives information about your own site. For a reports relating to the search keywords used to find your site via popular search engines, see the Show Top Internet Search Keywords (searchkeywords) report. For a report ranking search servers by frequency of use, see the Show Top Internet Search Servers (searchservers) report. For a complete breakdown of search keywords by search server, see the Show Top Search Keywords By Server (searchkeywordsbyserver) report.
