- Description: Wanware Linux is a synchonous communications subsystem for Linux. It contains hardware drivers, protocol implementations and both IP and application programming interfaces to synchronous facilities. IP interfaces are compliant with RFC 1356 and RFC 1490, (multiprotocol interconnect over X.25 and Frame Relay), while the application programming interface allows programs to directly communicate with X.25 packet layer, HDLC-LAPB, framed synchronous and Frame Relay facilities. Wanware Linux requires a synchronous communications hardware adapter from The Software Group.
