  • Description: LINCKS Executables, Documentation and Initial (Export) Database LINCKS is an object-centred multi-user database system developed for complex information system applications where editing and browsing of information in the database is of paramount importance. The focus is on sharing of small information chunks which combine to make up complex information objects used by different users for different purposes. Linked against libraries in Slackware 1.2 (4.5.24) and X11R5 libraries version 3.1. lincks2.2.1.tgz contains source, lincks2.2.1DB.tgz is a loaded database (same as in -bin.tgz), and lincks2.2.1db.tgz is the same database but using smaller fonts. X11 R5, at least 8MB of memory (needed by X11, too), kernel with networking since LINCKS uses TCP/IP and RPC between clients and the server, C Libraries version 4 (linked against 4.5.24) and X11 R5 libraries version 3.1.
