- Description: Zip 2.1 is a free archiver compatible with PKZIP archives (zipfiles) but not a clone of PKZIP. This version adds some new features including GMT-based (timezone-aware) timestamps; multi-part archive support is *not* yet supported. Sorry, top of the list for the next big release. :-)
- NOTE:E: this version replaces an existing archive of the same name. The source code is unchanged, but a trivial work-around for a gcc preprocessor bug results in upwards of 50% faster execution on large files. Encryption has also been removed to avoid distribution problems, but see below for the alternate site.
