Description: Q2-wrapper is a C program wrapped around Id's Quake2 game which makes the game behave more or less like a proper Unix program. Fixes the rendering-lib security hole. Startup in X11 or console all the time, no complaints. All users have their own autoexec.cfg files, their own saves, screendumps, etc. Unlike with the stock Quake2, with q2-wrapper installed, you can start Quake2 from any directory.
