- Version: 2.4
- Entered-date: 1998-07-24
- Description: Scilab is a matrix-based scientific software package resembling Matlab-Simulink and Xmath-SystemBuild. Scilab contains hundreds of built-in mathematical functions, sophisticated data structures (including sparse, polynomials and rationals matrices, linear systems, lists, etc...), a high-level interpretor and a macro language, and excellent graphics. Scilab also has a dynamic simulator for hybrid systems with GUI. A Matlab-Scilab translator, a wavelet toolbox, tcl-tk interface and PVM interface are among new features of this release.
