Innnards: What is the URL of my website's logo?

As the author of the WWW FAQ, I regularly answer questions about the workings of the Web. If a question is frequently asked, I simply add an article to the FAQ. But sometimes a question is more detailed, more in-depth— not really a FAQ, but still of interest to others. You'll find those questions, with my answers, here in Innards along with commentary on other web-technology-related topics.

Q. I am asked to enter the url of my logo in Paypal so i can change the logo in the packing slip. What would be the url of my logo? I have my own web site. The logo i used in the header is linked to data/img/log.png. I've tried the favicon but i don't think this is the answer to my question. Can you please tell me where i can get the url of my logo or how would i create a url for my logo? The URL is the web address of your logo. Every page and every image used on a site has its own URL. Just as http://www.example.com/ is the URL of a site's home page, http://www.example.com/logo.png might be the URL of that site's logo.

But the exact URL of the image depends on the filename that was uploaded to the site and the folder the designer chose to put it in.

Here's a surefire way to get the URL of your logo:

Go to the page your logo is on. Right-click. Choose "Copy Image Address" or similar. And then paste that into your browser's address bar and click enter to go straight to your image. If it works, you've found the URL of your image.

Since you mentioned that the path to your logo image is data/img/log.png, the URL is probably http://yoursitename.com/data/img/log.png. But the above technique will tell you for certain.
