Hello, my name is ______ and I'm calling today as an INFACT activist and a concerned consumer of Philip Morris' products.
Cigarette advertising, which visually associates smoking with independence, healthfulness, adventure seeking and physical attractiveness, appears to increase young people's risk of smoking by conveying that smoking has social benefits and that it is far more common than it really is.
I am joining with INFACT and thousands of other consumers worldwide calling on you to stop your aggressive marketing to children and young people around the world and to stop undermining public health efforts, including interfering in public policymaking.
Philip Morris can start by eliminating promotions like the "Marlboro Country Store" and the Virginia Slims V Wear", which lead to the widespread distribution of cigarette-branded merchandise that turns our children into walking billboards for your addictive and deadly products.
I am prepared to use my consumer power if needed to change these practices by boycotting Kraft General Foods products, including Kraft cheese, Maxwell House coffee, Oscar Meyer meats and Kool-Aid drinks. When will Philip Morris stop these abusive and deadly practices?
