Shared Calendars requires PERL version 5,
and runs as a CGI program on your
web server. Users can view Shared Calendars with any popular web browser.
Our defaults are set up for a UNIX
or LINUX system with an APACHE server, though other servers should
work as well, and many clients use Netscape servers.
Shared Calendars is not currently configured for NT servers,
though you are welcome to attempt it with your trial version, and we would
be happy to work with you and answer any questions.
We may support NT servers in a future
release.
You will need telnet or shell access, and the ability if needed
to configure your
web server to run CGI programs and set up security to identify users.
In some cases, ftp access may be sufficient and you can install over the web.
You will need either a knowledgable or patient web site administrator,
or to purchase a business licenses for substancial
help (beyond the help pages)
configuring.
If your Internet Service Provider [ISP] does not let you run CGI programs,
please consider asking them to offer Shared Calendars to their customers.
